We are looking for kind and patient people who would like to work with just one older gentleman who requires 24-hour support at home following a stroke which has left him with some challenging behaviours. He lives in the central Portsmouth area which is walkable. No car required. Shifts are 8-2pm, 2-8 pm or overnight waking care 8pm -8 am.

What does a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) do?
HCSW’s work with those who have a long-term healthcare condition who need to be supervised at all times due to medical or safety reasons. You may carry out personal care, complex medication, or undertake clinical tasks, all for which you will have been trained. As a result, you will work longer shifts with people in their own homes without the hassle of travelling from client to client.
Our aim is to keep people living at home as long as possible and avoid nursing home care with staff who are kind, caring, and want to help others.

What are we offering?
- Shift work: 8-2pm, 2-8pm, or 8pm to 8am, including alternate weekends.
- Work with 1-3 clients only (where additional work is available).
- Good pay rates & additional pay for Bank Holidays, short notice work, recruiting friends and family.
- A comprehensive person-centred training - you will work alongside others until have learned the skills and are confident to work alone.
- Transport not required as long as you can walk/bike/use public transport.
- DBS required.
- Access to Covid vaccination.
COVID-19 considerations:
All our staff are provided with free PPE and guidance to work safely during the Covid-19 pandemic. We undertake our interviews via Zoom wherever possible, but our office is Covid secure if staff need to visit.
