Healthcare Support Worker - Sitting Service
We have extended our long-term conditions service to offer a carer respite service, i.e., one that gives unpaid carers who look after family/loved ones a break from care. This is known as the ‘sitting service’ and often is uncomplicated and does not require any personal care. However, it is an incredibly fulfilling role as it is an opportunity to engage with an older, frail person in the things they are interested in, i.e., playing games, chatting about their interests, going for a walk/accessing the community etc. These visits are often a minimum of 2 hours, but can be as long as 8-10. It is usually day work (but not always), and occurs Monday to Sunday.
If you are interested in this role, please state this on your application.
